P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 21 - Rest

Ahh, rest day. A day to recover from the previous days Cheat. :) Tomorrow I start the non weights week.... which means Core Synergistics again. Oy.

P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 20 - Kenpo X

Kenpo X today along with the Ab workout I missed Friday. I am down another 2 pounds this week! That's from 204 down to 187 averaging close to 2 pounds a week. I don't even go near a scale on Sunday since I eat whatever on Saturdays so I'll start tracking again on Monday!

P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 19 - Legs and Back

Oye! Great workout today. Legs and back are tough but I like them because as I mentioned before I know it will help a lot with my running. Didn't get in Ab Rippers today since I am having a slumber party with my girls but I will be doing Abs tomorrow after Kenpo X.

So my GE Magic Bullet knock off bit the dust yesterday :| it was sounding weird for awhile and then yesterday just sploded, started winding fast then just spit out protein drink and popped up and I was unable to unscrew the blender from the motor so the whole thing is now in the trash and I splurged for a real magic bullet! So here is the old....

Another Yoga day gone. Love the yoga. Only got in about 55 minutes today which bummed me out a bit, means I didn't get in Yoga Belly 7s grrr. Diet went good otherwise and I will bring it extra tomorrow morning.

P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 17 - Back and Biceps

Good workout today. Can't believe I am in the last week before the "rest" week on phase 2. This phase has definitely gone faster than the first. Still feeling great and trimming. I'm starting to see more definition in a lot of places. Still have the belly which I hear is the last to go, but my son says he can see my six pack now under the flab. :D Guess that's a good thing. My family loves doing Abs with me at night, even my 5 and 3 year old daughters. It's awesome to see them get into fitness.

Another day of plyo out tha doooor! Good workout today. Missed my chocolate milk AGAIN. I need to go buy more. I can totally tell the difference when I don't get my chocolate milk. Plyo was good. Really able to bring it for that workout.

P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 15 - Chest Shoulders and Tris

Shampooing hair is very difficult after this workout :D It's the money maker for the triceps and chest though. I think more than any other workout this is the one that will make the pecks  and arms pop in the end. Did pretty good on my percentages but was a bit low on protein and high on carbs though.

Back to the good eats! Did well today. Ate at my in-laws so thought it would be tough but did well with Turkey breast, cole slaw and corn. No mashed potatoes and gravy but still awesome. Looking forward to a good workout tomorrow!

Ahh Kenpo. Love it! Have to double up on a lot of moves to keep my heart rate up. Decent cheat day today. Went and saw Brian Regan up in Logan, was a ton of fun as always! 3rd show I've seen of his.

P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 11 - Yoga X

Got all of Yoga in without a break today. Starting to feel my balance coming along well. Also my endurance. Yoga Belly 7 is still a pain in the ... stomach. :) Good day overall. I went a few hundred above my calories mainly because I've been a bit lacking in my energy so I ate a cup of pasta tonight with sauce. Hopefully that will help. Still under 2k and my fitness guide says I should be around 2400 so I think I am good especially since I average 1500 or less most days :) I ate lunch at Tucanos Brazillian grill today and think I faired well. More calories than lunch usually but still I ate a TON of veg and only stuck to Chicken, Fish, Shrimp and Turkey for meats, stayed away from the tasty looking pork and red meats even though they looked mighty fine :) I feel good overall how well I ate, grilled veg too. All in all a great experience, even ate a chicken heart. :) Oh btw, you'll notice I have changed my percentages now I will be around 40/40/20 for Proteins, Carbs and Fat. Still going to try to keep above 40 for protein, but makes it a bit easier overall and supposedly will give more energy for phase II

P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 10 - Back and Biceps

Two words...

CHOCOLATE MILK!!
That's the after workout wonder drug right there. 8 oz of low fat chocolate recovery goodness. I feel like I pushed my biceps too hard last week so I lessened the weight this week. Was still brutal but I felt I got a better workout. Last time I tried keeping much higher weight and found I was really rocking my body to get those curls in. This time even though a few brought me into the 12-15 rep range, I felt like it was a safer and more effective workout overall. Right arm is getting stronger but it is still a pansy compared to my left. My left is really wanting to move ahead but I am more concerned about getting more symmetrical with the two limbs. Once righty catches up then lefty can move forward. :)

Kicked butt in plyo today! It was awesome to get through it all. Chocolate milk was also a great after kicker. I am looking forward to starting training again with my running. I have a good feeling that I'll be beating my times on my runs once I get going again. Nuff talk here's my food for the day!

P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 6 - Kenpo X

Well interestingly enough, I made the decision to eat today as well. Since Valentines is on Monday Wendy and I decided to  celebrate the chocolaty goodness early so it wouldn't throw us off next week. Next Saturday I am only planning a higher calorie meal but think I will eat pretty clean the rest of the day.

P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 5 - Legs and Back

Legs and back are so tough, One of those workouts that I'm glad to be done with but also glad I did. I think that's the one that will help more than anything with my running. Can't wait to start running again. I have a lot of races I want to run this year! Not tracking today since I am going to cheat. Think for phase 3 and the rest of phase 2 after this week I am going to do more cheat meals instead of cheat days simply because I'm not feeling like cheating near as much as I did at the first.

Got all 90 minutes of Yoga in today without a break. It's hard getting up early enough to do it, but it felt great doing the whole thing at once. Going to be a tough weekend because wife and sons b-day on Fri and Sat so I will most likely do a cheat on Friday.

P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 3 - Back and Biceps, Abs

Wow. Back and biceps killed my arms.. they are now dead and I am typing with my tongue so scuse the typothe.

Good workout but holy crap! With the first phase you'd get muscle breaks like for example, do push ups, then pull ups, then more push ups then more pull ups. But with this one it's more like, let's do some curls! and now, more curls! Oh and by the way, next we have even more curls! Crazy, my arms are like gummy worms right now. Still wishing that my right arm was as fit as my left. I can do so much more with my left, but I'm keeping the norm to my right so my right can eventually catch up hopefully. Guess time will tell, maybe at the end of all things I will be half Popeye and half Pee Wee Herman.

P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 2 - Plyometrics

Plyometrics was a nice relief compared to Core Synergistics :D Still amazingly hard but I brought it 110% and felt great afterwards. I left my work badge at home which had my key on it so I couldn't get into my protein bars. I ended up getting a power bar downstairs. It was ok but threw off my carbs and had sugar in it. I really like the Pure Protein, low in the stuff I don't want and 20 grams of protein. And they taste pretty decent as well. I am not a marshmallow fan for the most part but the s'mores bar is actually my favorite flavor.

Welp I'm back in the action! Shoulders Arms and Triceps oh my... Also knocked out some Abs tonight. Was over all a good day other than I've been tired all day. Typical Monday. Didn't get a recovery drink in after my workout so a bit sore tonight. Tomorrow is Plyo!! AHHHH!!

P90x Classic Day 25 -Yoga X - Week 4 - Day 6

YOGA!! I love yoga, I was even able to do Crane today for all but 10 seconds of the time! Crazy stuff but so enjoyable. I got a better yoga mat because the other is just too thin. Unfortunately my wife took the car it was in so I won't get to test it out until next week. Planned Cheat today so won't be tracking calories. Tomorrow I will put in my measurements but I measured myself this morning and 192!! That's 12 pounds lighter than when I started in 30 days. If I keep going like that I should hit the 170s by day 90 for sure!

P90x Classic Day 24 -Core Synergistics - Week 4 - Day 5

Core Synergistics is my new Nemesis. Slide over Plyo cause there is a new pain in the butt in town. I am glad I did it but wow what a tough workout!! I don't care what people say, Superman Banana is not your friend! Actually those weren't as tough as the different push up ones. oye.

P90x Classic Day 23 -X Stretch - Week 4 - Day 4

Did X Stretch this morning. I loved it!! Great workout.  I wasn't doing it on Sundays because it was optional but it's so nice to just be there and stretch. No sweating no huffing, just nice and stretchy. Loved it!  I think I may start doing it on Sunday mornings just to get that extra stretch in. I only have a couple days until I can do my measurements. I'm anxious to see how I've progressed in 30 days.

P90x Classic Day 23 - Kenpo X - Week 4 - Day 3

Well started this morning off to a bad start lol. Got up, did about 25 minutes of Kenpo X and then my son reminded me that I was supposed to print out his homework. 3 hours later, I'm sitting here in my office huffing at the fact that I didn't get in a full workout this morning. :( I will however be doing the full Kenpo X workout tonight when I get home from work.

I've been tired the last couple of days. I am sure it's lack of quality sleep. If I have one fault in this diet, it's that I have a hard time getting a full nights sleep because of my work schedule. I would like to get 7 hours but I am lucky to get 6 most nights. 6 works good for me and I can keep my energy. Anything less, even by 20 minutes I seem to drag the next day. It hasn't affected my workouts. I can still bring it to each of those, but the tired usually kicks in around 11 and comes and goes. In reading on the discussion boards, it's pretty normal the first month and actually a good sign that you are pushing your self well, but I know that a nap now and then would also do me good.

Update:

I got the rest of Kenpo X in which was awesome. Felt much better. I need my workouts or I think I will go nuts :)

P90x Classic Day 22 - Core Synergistics - Week 4 - Day 2

Wow, Core Synergistics are TOUGH. Almost as crazy as Plyometrics. The biggest hurdle was getting over the fact that I only got 4.5 hours of sleep last night since I had that shoot. I still got up and did it though and am glad I did. Pretty tired today though. I am going to make sure I get adequate sleep tonight! This cool down week is almost as tough as the weights week. Lots of cardio and balance stuff. I like it but I am ready to tackle the next phase. I am especially looking forward to taking my measurements this weekend. I will post them once I do.

P90x Classic Day 21 - Yoga X - Week 4 - Day 1

Well this day was insane to say the least. I did all but 30 minutes of Yoga X and then had to work, then got a call to do a project that took me until midnight so I didn't get home until almost 1. Needles to say I didn't get the rest of Yoga X in which stinks! I still did halfway decent on my food though, but had to eat out which I didn't want to to. I ate decent but still threw off my percentages big time.
