Hard workout today felt great. I don't know if I mentioned but I am going to be on Phase 3 until I get my body fat where I want it. I will take pics at 90 but then again once I get to where I want. Getting closer every day!

P90x Classic Phase 3 - Day 11 - Legs and Back

Great workout this morning! Legs and back are tough but I get a great workout and know it's helping my running so I'm ok with it. Wendy is doing it with me and struggling but like I did during phase I she's learning the moves and learning how to bring it. It's nice having her to workout with.

Good workout today but missed Yoga belly 7s :( rest was awesome. Haven't been keeping up like I should on my blog, I am going to have to go back to add the food parts. Mainly because there isn't a ton to report. I did some comparison pics and am happy with the results but I still have a ways to go. I am going to keep plowing through phase 3 alternating weeks until I get to where I want to be and then most likely start Insanity for a couple months after that!

P90x Classic Phase 3 - Day 5 - Legs and Back

Thought I would have a bad workout but then I brought it hard. Was a bit low on energy but I told myself, just bring it and then you can have your chocolate milk! So I BROUGHT IT and felt great! Then I went to the fridge and found out my 3 year old bogarted my last chocolate milk. :| Such is life I guess!

Good workout this morning. I was still sore from the chest and back from 2 days ago. :| During the stretches I was really feeling it, but then once I was warmed up I kicked this workout's trash. Feels good to be back in it.

P90x Classic Phase 3 - Day 2 - Plyometrics

Welp brought it hard in Plyo today. It's crazy, many days when I work out I spend the time at first thinking. GAH I don't want to do this! But I then tell my self that I am here and I am bringing it! I give it my all, and then I spend the other 23 hours of the day so grateful that I pushed past the "comfort" side of my brain, you know that part of us that wants us to just be comfortable which is also the part that makes us fat and lazy. :D I push through it and then I am so glad I brought it all the way and I can then enjoy my day knowing that I did good for myself. I like the saying "Hard now, easy later". I can take the easy way, feel comfortable, not work, eat whatever and then I have to pay for it later in life, OR I can take the hard way, do what's right, turn my body into a well oiled machine, and then enjoy the benefits of a higher metabolism, great body and all around better mental state of mind. That's where I am heading.

It also helps that I enjoy running because that helps me get through the stupid plyo and leg workouts since I know they will help improve my overall running experience. ;)

P90x Classic Phase 3 - Day 1 - Chest and Back

Well I am back in the action. Took a week off to deal with my sister's trauma and a campout I had with my son. All is well with my sister and she's finally out of ICU! It was a rough week but ended up working out well. I feel my family has been very blessed this week.

I of course started the week off by setting my alarm wrong and missing my morning workout and breakfast :( but I am going to hit it hard as soon as I get home from work. I will update my totals and workout experience later on.

Update: Workout was great. Tough since I have taken a week off. Got abs in as well. Great to be back to the game though and I felt like I really brought it. Back on track with my nutrition as well though I think I may jump up to 50% protein again and drop my carbs a bit to help speed the weight loss.

P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 25 - Yoga X

I didn't get yoga today. Reason being, my sister was in a bad car accident today so I flew right away to Reno to be with her until my parents could drive down. I will be here in the hospital until tomorrow and will fly back home tomorrow afternoon.

Not much to say here. Core Synergystics AGAIN. Good workout though. It's brutal but you really feel you've done your body good when you are done!

P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 24 - X Stretch

Oh yeah I like this one. Nice relaxing workout! I can't believe I'm almost done with phase II!! Can't wait to check my measurements Saturday. I haven't had a lot of time to add pics of my food and percentages but I will add them in to this and the others when I get a break from work this weekend. It's been a crazy week. I really need to figure out a better sleep schedule. Plus with me getting ready to go to Europe with my wife I am spending time getting ready for that which takes more time away from sleep.

P90x Classic Phase 2 - Day 23 - CORE SYNER-BLEH-STICS

Yup so it starts again. Like a bad dream you can't wake from :) Actually it was a bit nicer than the last time I did it. Must be improving. Boats can still bite me though.

Feeling good today. Feel I have been lacking on my water, maybe because I was peeing dark this morning. Going to drink lots and lots today and see how I improve. Can't believe I am almost done with Phase II!! I am seeing results but still frustrated with the pooch, it's slowly going down. I can't complain really. I have had it for about 12 years and expect it to go away in 3 months? Hopefully will be close though by then. Some will say, STOP THE CHEAT DAY! To which I will say, I agree. I am sure ditching a food day off would maybe get me there a tad quicker (maybe), but I am looking for lifestyle changes and for me, I love food. It's a big part of me. I have European roots and we love to eat. :) I feel 100% fine with eating totally clean 6 times a week and eating what I want one day a week. It let's me enjoy the goods while still getting my health on. If it takes 120 days to see the full results rather than the 90 then so be it, I never intended on this only being a 90 day thing.

And so starts the phase II no weights week. Today went well, didn't get the last 30 min of Yoga X in which I am bummed about. I am going to work on getting up early enough to do all 90 minutes at once next time.
